The conference is organised by the Centre for Research on Organizations, Management and Technical Change (CROMTEC) at Manchester University. It is the third in a series of bi-annual conferences on Advances in Social and Economic Analysis of Technology (ASEAT); the aim is to explore and compare differing economic and sociological frameworks, and consider the potential synthesis of economic and sociological approaches. One of the foci of this event will be on the effects environmental issues will have on technology management, e.g. in the area of energy, electronics etc.
