The preparations for the NTA2 "Technology Assessment in the global society" make good progress. Attractive key-note speakers could already be committed. A public evening lecture on 22nd November will be given by Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer, until May 2006 director of the UN Environment-Programme. The following day Prof. Dr. Frieder Meyer-Krahmer, state-secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Philippe Busquin, member of the European Parliament and Chairman of the STOA-Panel (Scientific Technology Options Assessment) as well as Prof. Dr. Dietmar Theis, Siemens AG, are going to speak about the topic of the conference.
